A verandah is like the smile of welcome on the face of a house; Carwarden's wide verandah is a lovely place to sit, with it's magnificent sweeping view across the dykelands. On a clear day you can see forever, and it's always beautiful, morning, afternoon, or evening.
Carwarden's privacy is secured by broad lawns and mature shade trees.
The staircase to our Bed & Breakffast Guest Rooms reflects the gracious charm of Carwarden.
The bay window in the spacious ballroom overlooks the dykelands, and there is comfortable seating for reading, conversation or tea.
A savory can't-eat-lunch breakfast is served in Carwarden's large sun-filled and coffee-fragrant dining room. Serving time is 7-8:30 am
The long dining table and chairs have been in the family for three generations; the bookshelves beside the fireplace hold more family treasures.

The Canard dykelands
are valuable farming acreage, reclaimed from the sea by the ingenious
dyking system; Cape Blomidon looms in the background at far right.
